Hi, guys. Not sure who read my post at the end of last month. In it I espoused the methods put forward by the genius, Professor Brian Meeks and his Amazon Ad theories, how I followed his advice to increase the price of my books to $4.99 and advertise on AMZ and how I more than doubled my income to gain the level of Trout.

Well, I continued following his advice to the letter, and this month my sales continued their upward trend … I can now proudly show off my newly earned iridescent scales as an adult Rainbow Trout.

Seriously though – this month I continued to place many, many, many ads on AMZ. Sticking to Brian’s advice I did not bid above .25c.

Now, I know that there seems to be a slight problem, what with Amazon demanding ridiculous bids and Display ads not turning on, but I tried not to panic and just kept grinding away. Many of my ads didn’t do anything, but a fair amount did. I ended up getting a couple of thousand clicks at an average of .18c

My purchase to click ratio was in the region of 1:8 on my best sellers and 1:15 on my worst. (not counting KDP Borrows). But it was enough to keep climbing. However, I must reiterate – I did hundreds of ads and continually tweaked the blurbs. Adspend was in the region of $350 for the month.

I also placed my big toe into the Facebook ad pool. After reading Michael Coopers book I decided to give it a go. Long story short … I did 2 ads, spent $10 dollars a day for 5 days and gave up. I just couldn’t get my head around it all. Perhaps I am simply too used to Brian spoon-feeding me. (I signed up for the Prof’s course. Highly recommend it). I aim to take Dawson’s Facebook ad course when it comes up next … then I’ll give the old Facebook another go.

Finally – I am using my new rise in income to redo all my covers and to make audio versions of all my books.

My aim??? In 6 months time I wanna be a SALMON!
